So, I'm not a huge potato chip fan. Since I try to be healthy, I typically don't buy the full fat chips but I don't like fake food so I buy the all natural reduced fat chips. And, for SOME unknown reason, no company makes salt and vinegar in a reduced fat chip. Can someone explain this to me? There is no fat in vinegar and chips already have salt so...um....hello? I did recently get a craving for chips after watching Larry David eat them in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm (yes, Chris says I'm very influenced by what I see, so hello advertisers, i'm your target market!)
Needless to say, when I saw this packaging for Hairy Bikers potato crisps, I was struck. How cool is it? But even more so, um, look at the flavors? Lemon and Olive Tagine! Prosciutto and blue cheese! Prawn with coconut! for real? Is this real real life?
Has anyone had these? I have never seen them around here, but I think they may change my mind, make me want chips and not care if they are reduced fat or not.

You are funny. I love this packaging and kettle chips are my once-in-a-while indulgence. Thanks for your sweet comments about our engagement video! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD! I need these! Proscuitto and blue cheese? I die! The packaging is perfect too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Colleen! and your video was so great!
ReplyDeleteMelissa, i KNOW right?! i need some now.
No really, in mah belly. NAW. Let's just all order a case and be done with it, K?
ReplyDeleteThis post is killing me! I love potato chips with a passion, as in I don't usually buy them because there is no such thing as half a bag of chips, there is an unopened bag or there is an empty bag. These flavors are absolute genius. I neeeeeeeed the prosciutto!
ReplyDeleteProsciutto and blue cheese? Yes, please.
ReplyDeleteSee, now if I bought those, I'd eat all the chips AND save the bags! :)
ReplyDeleteAndrea: for realz! I'll split a case with you...or maybe we better order our own...
ReplyDeleteHollie: i know. seriously.
Melissa: me too girl! I would become a horder!

I have never tried these particular chips, but I'm so drawn to the cute packaging! Just last week, I found a reduced fat salt and vinegar chip in Canada. I bought them. I then ate the whole bag. Needless to say, my mouth was RAW after that binge. I do not recommend doing this!
ReplyDeleteI know, i looked into the brand a little more and I think they are U.K based! dang.
ReplyDeleteUm, reduced fat salt and vinegar?! whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! oh Canada!
I would have done the same thing! i LOVE some vinegar especially on chips. i hope your mouth was swift to heal!

Okay, I am drooling! Potato chips are my weakness...along with hot french fries. And I am just sitting here trying to comprehend what a proscuitto and blue cheese chip would taste like. I can only imagine delish! I do love the name - even though kinda scary, and the packaging!

These look so tasty! I would go for the King Prawn. the Hairy Bikers host a cooking/food show in the UK.
